PART 4

May Swaisey, Jessie and Sprog

Max, Jessie and Sprog arrive at May Swaisey’s farm to get away from the gang and for a little R&R.

Location: This building is on the grounds of the Hume Anglican Grammar School, on Mount Ridley Road. There is no Google Street View available here, but Paul Hagl’s YouTube video shows the buildings close-up.

Jessie takes the dog and they go down to the beach through the forest.

Location: Mount Dandenong. Around 200 metres from the RJ Hamer Arboretum.

Jessie realises the dog is gone, and decides to go back to the farm via the forest. She sees the dog has been killed and hung from a tree, and can sense the bikies around her – whilst fleeing, she bumps into Benno who scares her even more.

Once back at the farm, Max gets a gun to check for any intruders. In the meantime the bikies have taken Sprog and are holding him at another building on the farm. The Toecutter proposes a trade for Cundalini’s hand.

May appears with a shotgun and closes them in behind the door on the left.

Jessie gets the baby back and gets in the car, picking up May on the way out. She’s told to just drive through the gate.

Max hears the commotion and runs back but can’t catch the bikers.

The raised verge in the screenshot below has since been flattened, but is a short distance and on the bend from where Jessie and Sprog are run over.

She doesn’t get very far though – the fan belt decides to pack up on the road and the radiator is leaking heavily. This shot was filmed on a different road to the screenshot above and the windmill location below. The road is more narrow and the verge doesn’t match the shot before and after it.

As she gets out of the car to run, she picks up Sprog. The bikers tear past May and run both of them down.
